| E3 so far |
|
There have been a lot of annoucements and demonstrations at E3 so far, but I'll highlight a few that caught my eye:
-Xbox and PS2 retail prices have been reduced $20 to $180.
-A Seven Samurai video game? Set in the future?
-Turbine, Wizards of the Coast, and Atari team up to bring you Dungeons and Dragons Online.
-Halo for PC. With multiplayer.
-Batman: The Rise of Sin Tzu - a co-op console brawler due out this fall that appears to be set in the Batman: The Animated Series universe.
-Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark has been announced, before Shadows of Undrentide is even released...
More interesting gaming news as it occurs.

Advances to both games gameplay are numerous
halo2 - aikimbo style automatic pistols, GTA style vehicle takeover, rocketlauncher warthogs, ability to cause secondary explosions (cars, etc) to inflict damage on others...
halflife2 - weapon that can pick up any random item and fling it like a rail gun, ability to control ant lion aliens by throwing blood grenades that they swarm to, Impecible AI that is capable of doing real FBI type flanking formations, and actually wait on you, lip sync system which is the best I've ever seen and is dynamic based on the voice wav file, true ragdoll physics way beyond anything done in UT2003.
Dan, if you want to see the vids, I can put them up somewhere for you to grab, is the llamallogic.com ftp still up? or I'll just put them on a web server somewhere...
